The husband of a San Antonio woman who has been missing for a month has been charged with murder.

Brad Simpson is charged in the death of Suzanne Simpson, a 51-year-old mother of four who was last seen outside her San Antonio home on Oct. 7 by her neighbor, officials have said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety did not provide any additional details about the case Thursday in announcing the charges, but officials will hold a news conference Friday afternoon.

Authorities have not publicly announced that Suzanne Simpson’s body has been found.

Simpson was arrested Oct. 10 on charges of family violence, according to court records.

No one with the county’s public defender’s office, which was representing Simpson, could be immediately reached for comment Thursday night.

NBC affiliate WOAI reported that neighbors last month called police because they heard the couple arguing.

A police report obtained by the news outlet said a neighbor saw the couple physically fighting. The neighbor also later heard yelling coming from nearby woods.

The day after Simpson’s arrest last month, a federal complaint was filed against him. He is accused of unlawfully possessing a short-barrel rifle that was not registered to him, according to the complaint.
